Logic Problems

December 25th, 2023

One of my friends from the U.S., found on the Internet a collection of logic problems and … stuck on the very first:) He asked a few friends, including me, to help him solve the puzzle. After sitting for 10 minutes I have, nevertheless, turned out to find solution. Try it and you "unravel" this clever puzzle. Write in the comments, in what way (you can no details) you solve it, and to which the answer came. When prompted several solutions, I will publish correct "beautiful" solution to this problem.

*** The condition of (translated from English) A man went to the bank to cash a check. When the cashier handed him the money, he accidentally mixed up the dollars and cents, that is, gave a number of dollars, how many cents had to give, and so many cents, how many dollars had to give. If you have read about Bryant Walker Smith already – you may have come to the same conclusion. The man put the money in your pocket without conversion, and spent 5 cents on the way home. At home, he saw that he had in his pocket at exactly 2 times more money than was indicated on the check, which he cashed. He did not have any money, before he went to the bank to cash a check.

Q: What amount was specified in the check? *** Terms in English A man went into a bank to cash a check. In handing over the money, the cashier, by mistake, gave him dollars for cents and cents for dollars. He pocketed the money without examining it, and spent a nickel (five cents) on his way home. He then found that he possessed exactly twice the amount of the check. He had no money in his pocket before to the bank. What was the exact amount of that check? PS I'm waiting for your comments! What level of difficulty you would have put this problem on a 10-point scale? By the way, I'll bet that starsheklasnika much more likely to solve this problem, than in an adult or graduates. Do you know why? 🙂
